This Brazilian coffee was sourced from Daterra with whom we've launched The Roas-tree Club, a sustainability initiative that promises to plant and maintain 1 tree for the next decade, for every 20kg of coffee we have bought from them. Our aim is to plant at least 20,000 but the sky is the limit.
Daterra is also a carbon-negative coffee producer, and have been kind enough to pass on the offset to us with every lot of coffee bought, meaning we are also offsetting our carbon footprint too.
About Low Caf Reserve
The Low Caf Reserve is a lot made exclusively from low-caffeine varietals, namely Aramosa and Laurina. These two cultivars have been under study in Daterra for over 20 years and now, fully adapted to our terroir, their beans make not only naturally low-caf coffees but also delicious ones: the cup has a floral character in which you can expect notes of red berries, tropical fruits and grapes. The complex acidity is both lactic and phosphoric, making this cup very exciting.
