About El Rodeo 

For over a decade, Hacienda El Rodeo, a family-run farm in Colombia's Santander region, has cultivated high-quality speciality coffee. Beginning in 2011, they transformed an abandoned plot into a thriving 110-hectare Arabica coffee operation, prioritizing sustainability by dedicating an extra 25 hectares to nature conservation.

Nestled at an altitude of 1900-2200 metres, the farm's coffee flourishes primarily under the shade of native trees and plantains. Harvested from December to February, they offer washed, honey, and natural processed beans to cater to diverse preferences. The farm cultivates mainly Castillo coffee, complemented by a touch of exotic varieties like Pink Bourbon and Geisha.

From the outset, quality has been their top priority. The farm's processing, drying, and storage facilities are meticulously designed to ensure the highest standards. Though relatively new to the scene, their dedication has garnered international recognition, enabling them to engage in direct trade and open new markets. Since 2018, they have roasted their coffee under the Ruralia brand, operating a coffee shop and supplying both businesses and individuals.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the coffee industry, Hacienda El Rodeo continues a family tradition of agriculture that spans generations. While they may be new to coffee, they take immense pride in their commitment to quality, sustainability, and fair practices.
