WHAT IS IT?

Our biggest sustainability initiative to date

Being passionate about coffee goes beyond just drinking the stuff. We believe as a part of the coffee industry we are responsible for our share of the carbon emissions released from farm to cup. That's why we want to do everything we can to help mitigate the effects of climate change. That's where The Roas-tree Club comes in.

HOW WE'RE HELPING?

We plant 1 tree for every 20kgs of green coffee sold

And with the help of our friends Daterra, we have secured the seeding, planting, management and care for each tree for the next 10 years, after which they will be strong enough to support themselves. When you buy any coffee with The Roas-tree Club sticker on it you guarantee that your cup of coffee has made a positive change for the planet.

WHO ARE DATERRA?

A carbon-negative,
climate-positive coffee estate

Daterra are the first coffee estate in the world to receive Level A Certification from the Rainforest Alliance. More recently, through the implementation of sustainable practices, they now sequester more carbon from the atmosphere than they release in their operations.

Their Tree_llion Project aims to plant 3 million trees within the decade and The Roas-tree Club wants to help them achieve this. We are proud to have committed financial resources to support Daterra with the caretaking of our trees.
