Mohammed Ali
Mohammed Ali produces a forest coffee with a delicate and floral profile on family plots inherited from his father at the heart of the Jimma appellation. The Gera farm is located at an altitude of 2,000 meters. It is home to a forest in which endemic species grow alongside coffee trees transplanted here from local wild plant varieties. Aware of the natural wealth of his surrounding environment, Mustafa Mohamed Ali has chosen to work for its recognition. After a long and laborious journey, he became an exporter, and today sells his crops directly.
This full traceability is bolstering the reputation of the exceptional local agroforestry system, which is a breeding ground for ancillary products such as honey.
